Art Souterrain
Art Souterrain launches tomorrow night as part of the Montreal Nuit Blanche festivities. I will have a piece installed in the lobby of the Tour de la Bourse for the next two weeks so go check it out. Here are a couple images from the prep work in the studio.

ABC:MTL @ CCA
Very excited to be part of a show at the Canadian Centre for Architecture. The show collects works from a variety of people responding to and mapping out the city of Montreal. The dynamic exhibition, reflecting the nature of the city, evolves on a monthly basis, with some works removed and others introduced. The jam-packed vernissage took place in November, and my work will be installed in mid-december. At the end of January I will be taking part in a panel discussion at the CCA. More information can be found here.

Fall 2012 update
It has been a busy couple months. I moved to a new studio, a space which was previously a clothing manufacturer that required major work to turn it into a workspace for myself and 7 colleagues from school. After lots of preparation I'm very happy with the results, it's comfortable, well equipped, and has great views of the sunsetting. Here are a couple before and after pics...
This is before... but after we tore up the old tile floor and cleaned out several inches of dust, and before we built the dividing walls.

My little corner, before any walls or shelves built. Great light!
Durring construction. I built in all the furniture/storage so it would be efficient and flexible.
After... lots of shelves, a worktable and a desk built in. A comfy chair, wallspace, and room to grow into.
Desk and work area with view into studio-mates space.
Finally getting settled and starting on some new work.

Some new tests
Despite all the events at Banff I did manage to try out some ideas as well. Mostly tests for future projects. Some figure studies with paint on clothing, architectural ruin models, and a video (which I will be posting at a later date)

Work of the Living Watch
Just got back from a residency at the Banff Centre, realized I haven't updated here in a while.
Here are a few images of the centre taken during the last three weeks... there was a lot going on concurrent with my stay that made it a great experience.
